What happens in Vegas...

I made it home from Vegas. Alive. And, without hitting any geese on take off. Isn't it my luck that a plane crashes the week I'm out of town and need to take a plane to get home.... I had a good time but I was so ready to leave. I was homesick by the end of the trip. I found out I couldn't live too far from my mom, unless I absolutely had to. It was a good trip, don't get me wrong. It was just time to come home. Our hotel was on the Strip and we could see the mountains from our room. And the sun rose over them. It was nice. And I took a TON of pictures of everything. We were shopping in the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace and they had Fendi, Gucci, Prada, Tiffany & Co., ect. And I took pictures of all the signs lol. I stopped in the Coach store and bought a keychain (for $50!!! lol) and a new purse. But hey, I was on a mini-vacation so it's ok. The convention we were attending went well. A LOT of walking and I ended up with blisters on my right heel. I ended up just wearing tennis shoes the second day. And yesterday, we were shopping at Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops and stopped at Fat Tuesday and had daiquiri's. For lunch. lol. It was really good and I couldn't really taste the rum, which is the way I like it. lol. Only in Vegas though.

Sherry, my boss, isn't getting any better. I don't think it'll be much longer. Before too long, Brenda, her daughter and my office manager, will be changed to President of the company. And I guess that'll make me the "office manager" or something. IDK yet. But, I have the task of calling all of Sherry's customers when she does pass and let them know. I'm trying to prepare myself now. It's hard. And it's been emotionally draining. We just keep praying though.

Anyway. I'm super tired and I think I'm going to take a shower (oh, how I missed the water pressure at home!) and get into my own bed (I missed it the most! lol).

  1. Welcome home. We missed you. Glad you had a good time. And I have to agree, there's nothing quite like the water pressure at home.
