Catching up

SO. It's been a while again. And, I'm sure you know what this means. I'm not sleeping again. Seems I only blog when I can't sleep. I think I was just out of my element last week. And last night, while I slept a majority of the night, I was just so tired that I was stressed that I couldn't sleep. If that makes sense. I'm weird. And besides, sleep is overrated, right?

I was fiddling around with this earlier today while I was bored out of my mind at work. Figured out how to change colors of a lot of stuff. It's a lot more "Vicki" like now. More my style.

I'm pretty sure hell froze over and is on vacation in Memphis. It was 105 today with a heat index of 122. I apparently live in the desert now. It's too hot to do anything. You go outside and all you hear is the humming of air conditioners. They run non stop. A friend posted a picture on her FB of an egg litterally frying on the sidewalk. That's how hot it is. If I wanted heat this bad, I'd go live in Las Vegas with my family. My poor nose is really dry and giving me bad headaches. I'm expecting a nose bleed of epic proportions any time now.

5 weeks till DC. I'm getting pretty excited! I'm praying that it's cooler by then. Surely, it should be, right? RIGHT?!\

I had a great birthday! I don't feel any older, despite Jerome constantly asking me "SO, you feel any older?!" Really?? You just asked me TEN minutes ago. No, I don't. Turning 25 had no effect on me feeling older.

Sometimes, I wonder why God has people go down certain paths. Especially ones where it completely jacks up their life. It's SO heartbreaking to see someone you care about mess up their life and they won't listen to you. They have all these awesome chances and they go and screw them up. And burn their bridges like there is no tomorrow. I pray their is a reality check for them soon. And I hope I'm there to see it. Just to see at what point their lost little soul finds it's way. But, I suppose God does things for a reason and that hindsight is always 20/20. And for that, I am thankful.

Times change. Friends leave. And life...life doesn't stop for anyone.

  1. I can completely understand you on the observer aspect. It KILLS you to watch people make mistakes, and despite your warnings, advice, and genuine concern, they still don't listen. It's upsetting, but sometimes we just have to watch others make their own mistakes and learn from them the hard way.
