In recent days, life has thrown me another curve ball. Why me? Dear God, why me? I started to question God on just how much I can handle and WHY ME?! But I backed off pretty quick for two reasons. 1) I didn't want to jinx myself (that's happened to me before) 2) God said "Hey, I got this". "The LORD will fight for you, you need only to be still" Exodus 14:14. So after being briefly hysterical, I gathered the pieces up and decided that I HAVE to be strong. I reprioritized some things in my life.
1) Find a new job with group insurance. Apparently, that's the only way I'm going to get health insurance at this point in time. It's critical that I get it. There is no other way around it. I can't keep waiting for some miracle to happen. And to be quite honest, this Obamacare looks like crap. I mean seriously, this country is in dire need for some kind of change and the best he can do he have stuff that starts in FOUR years?! Stop drinking the koolaid people and open your eyes. Just sayin...
2) Build up a savings account. Which is why I have a 2nd job on the weekends. Yeah, it means I usually work 7 days a week. But, within a month of opening my savings accounts, I managed to save $300. I'm pretty dang proud of myself. Anyway. I need to save up a good chunk of money for "just in case". Not just for my Alaska trip.
Those are the two main things that are most important right now. There is other stuff but it's not really public information right now. It's on a need to know basis. It'll come out, over time. But, for now, it stays with me. It really sucks I have to find a new job, because I kinda really like mine. But, the more I think about it, the more I realize that I've become too comfortable with it. Plus, I feel that they'll never make it without me. And to be quite honest, they probably won't but they'll learn. Eventually. All of this stuff has caused me a great deal of stress lately. To the point that it's affecting my sleep schedule. Like right now, it's 10:15 and I'm not even tired. Yet, this afternoon I could barely stay awake at work. Ugh. I've got to get a grip on this soon. I'm trying to cut caffiene out. Which means breaking up with Starbucks (how will it ever surive without me?!). I'll miss that caramel frap. but I miss sleep more. Plus, think of all the money I'll save (it's $4.63 for a grande) and weight I could possibly lose (it's got 380 calories).
SO, at any rate, that's what has been going on lately. Pray for me. Lord knows I need the strength to get through this. And pray for my nearest and dearest who have to put up with my crap and my hysterical phone calls (some even joke that I only seem to call with bad news lately so they don't want to answer the phone anymore lol). They are my rock and my saving grace. And without them, I'd be nothing.
