Brenda thinks it's best I don't go see Sherry. It's that bad. She thinks it'll be for the best and that it's best I remember her the way she was before she got so very sick. I don't hide my emotion very well and I would freak out and cry and it would just really upset Sherry. Jerome was in for a little while today and we asked how he was doing and he mumbled something and got big tears in his eyes and just walked out and left. I think I should start to compile a list of people I need to call when she does pass. That way I don't miss anyone and then hurt someones feelings. It kind of intimidates me cause she's got a TON of customers and let's face it, it's not going to be easy calling some of them. I have to be strong and not cry on the phone. Easier said then done. So, for the time being, I just hope Sherry isn't in pain. She'll have chemo this Monday (the 9th) and then on the 16th, she'll have another CT scan and that'll tell us if the chemo is even working. No one thinks it is though. They took right at 3 liters of fluid off of her this week. Apparently, it's being caused by liver failure. I've been praying. It's all I can do right now.
I'm glad we finally have some nice weather. I'm about sick of this freaking cold weather! And it's nice to see the sun shining. It cheers me up when I have bad days. I'll be getting a new car soon! As soon as my taxes come back, I'll be able to get a new one. Yesterday, my car wouldn't start so I gave it 10 minutes (like normal when it doesn't start) and it still wouldn't start. So, I waited a few more minutes. It wouldn't even try to start. Thankfully mom was still home and took me and Emily took me down to moms office. It's frustrating to have a crappy car! I've been looking at different ones online. Now, I just have to test drive them and pick one. Hopefully, car tags won't be too much!
The grand essentials to happiness are something to love, something to do and something to hope for.

I think that starting to put that list together is a good idea.At the very least it'll take some of the stress off your shoulders when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteJust because you cry doesn’t mean you aren’t strong. It’s really horrible what is happening to Sherry and it’s okay to be cry about it. I agree with Brenda about not going to see her bc you want to remember to as you do. She knows you care. You can always call or send a card.
