It's hard for me to write this and I hope to get everything in that I need to.
Sherry is back in the hospital. Brenda was over a lot on Sunday and Sherry slept the whole time. When Brenda left, Sherry was starting to wake up. No sooner does Brenda get in the door, Jerome is calling her and telling her to come back ASAP. Sherry was almost unresponsive and he was calling 911. The paramedics got there and Sherry was really disoriented and could hardly sit up by herself and couldn't stand up at all. So they took her by ambulance to the ER. They admitted her to the hospital. Brenda talked to her yesterday morning and she seemed decent. They were keeping her in overnight, just for observation. This morning, Brenda met with the doctors. Dr. Sommers said that this is pretty much it. The chemo isn't helping at all. They were stopping chemo. The chemo was making her blood count really low and was causing some kind of infection cause she was running a fever. They are also doing a blood transfusion today, although I'm not 100% sure why. And while her CT scan taken on Sunday night showed the same thing as the one when they got back from Israel, the cancer is progressing. This is it. There isn't anything else they can do. It's not going to be much longer. They haven't given her a time other than it's soon. We are just praying that she doesn't have anymore pain and suffering then what she does now.

I'm so sorry!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, dear, but also relieved. The only thing now is to make her as comfortable as possible.
