reality

I realized that I forgot to make an update about what happened at the hospital yesterday. The doctors came in and started talking about hospice in front of Sherry and Jerome. Sherry got upset and Jerome got mad, thinking that Brenda and Michelle (Brenda's sister) were not telling him everything. And poor Michelle is having to deal with this from Washington, DC. Thank God for frequent flier miles and cell phones with speaker phone. Anyway. So, it wasn't anything too major. Brenda had to go down there and calm everyone down. Jerome knew about hospice, he was just so upset with seeing Sherry upset, he convinced himself that they weren't telling him everything. Sherry is now on oxygen. She's not intubated or anything. Just the mask. But she had that stuff at home and used it often so it's not really surprising. I'm starting to think that she won't make it out of the hospital. And, in true Sherry fashion, Brenda was getting her nails done late yesterday afternoon and the girl that did them does Sherry's nails as well. She was telling Brenda that Sherry called her earlier and wanted her to come up to the hospital and do her nails. lol. Sherry may look like death warmed over but her nails will look good! lol. That's so something Sherry would do.

Just keep praying. I have been truly blessed with a loving family and an awesome group of friends who love me dearly. I thank God everyday for this support system I have.
